Students who attend NUSD Middle Schools (Sinaloa, San Jose and Hamilton Meadow) will have an opportunity to complete the written application during school hours. A designated application date is coordinated with each school and shared in advance. If a student is absent, makeup options will be offered.
Students attending private schools, charter schools or schools outside of Novato must make an appointment to complete the application. Link below to schedule.

We do not offer any application appointments after the closing date. Please make sure you apply early so you don't miss out.
January 10-February 6 2026
Our STEM Marin team will read and score applications during this time. Applications are scored anonymously. We do not know the student's name, gender, race, ethnicity or school. There are at least 4 team members assessing each student's application.

Students and parent/guardian will be notified via email of their placement. Students will either be offered placement, denied placement or waitlisted. If you are denied placement, you will receive a letter in the mail with the reason you were not offered a seat in the program. If you are waitlisted, you will receive a letter with your waitlist position.

If students do not confirm their placement by this deadline, their spot may be giving to a student on the waitlist.
