What has been made possible by the STEM Fund...

INVERTED MICROSCOPE

INVERTED MICROSCOPE

INVERTED MICROSCOPE

This microscope enables growth and study of LIVE mammalian cells as opposed to studying fixed cells on a slide! Students use the cells with our 3D Bioprinters to create lab grown tissues and organoids.

SENIOR PROJECTS

INVERTED MICROSCOPE

INVERTED MICROSCOPE

Through Senior Engineering Capstone and Senior Biotech Research projects, students put their four years of STEM learning into action by addressing real-world problems. This hands-on work is only possible because SMF provides critical funding for the equipment and supplies that allow students to design, test, and refine their ideas.

MAKERSPACE

INVERTED MICROSCOPE

Students have access to a fully equipped Makerspace filled with industry-standard tools and technology. This space gives students the opportunity to move beyond the classroom and empowers students to bring their ideas to life.

COLLABORATION SPACES

Furniture designed for common spaces in the STEM Building allows students to work on group projects outside of class or to have a quiet place to study or take a break.

ART DISPLAYS

Six display cases were purchased and installed in the STEM building to showcase drawings by the Art in Science students.

Biological Frog Illustrations during their frog dissection unit in Biology.

FIELD TRIPS

Getting to explore the world of STEM off campus has allowed students to open their eyes to the possibilities that await them after high school. Some recent trips have included visits to The Buck Institute, Autodesk, Ultragenyx Lab and NASA Ames research facility.
